What is Co-Treatment Therapy?
This interdisciplinary model of therapy can include speech and OT, OT and PT, or PT and speech depending on the needs of the child. We offer co-treatment sessions with the wonderful occupational therapists at Milestones On The Go. These collaborative sessions are designed to address multiple developmental goals simultaneously, providing a more holistic and dynamic approach to therapy. Co-treatment sessions are particularly beneficial for children who require support in overlapping areas, such as motor skills and communication or sensory regulation and social interactions.
Benefits of Co-Treatment Sessions:
Integrated Goals
By combining therapy disciplines, co-treatment allows for a seamless integration of motor, sensory, and communication goals within a single session.
Increased Engagement
With two therapists collaborating, sessions are more engaging and creative, helping to maintain a child’s focus and motivation.
Comprehensive Support
Co-treatment allows therapists to address a child’s challenges from multiple angles, leading to well-rounded progress.
